Being immersed in the arts at a young age, TEEJ has had the opportunity to experience a range of cultures and influences that make up his affinity to create with purpose. Studying traditional art and animation abroad in Hong Kong as a 19 year old Black artist was the start of a stimulating artistic journey for him.

After honing his artistry at the Savannah College of Art and Design,  TEEJ made the move to New York where he unexpectedly grew a passion for capturing NYC’s rich environments and music scene through photography and motion.

Nicholas Terayle “TEEJ” Jones is a visual artist with a production mindset based in Los Angeles, CA.

Social undertones are a spiritual essence, within his photographic work, that become childlike curiosities found in the hidden corners of the world. With the use of brash colors and intimate greyscales he reveals the magic in communities that aren’t often highlighted.

Fast forward, over the span of 8 years in pursuing his creative photographic and visual art pursuits in the entertainment industry full time, he has worked with top brands and individuals including but not limited to Freeform’s Grown-ish, Nick Cannon’s WildNOut, Youtube, Google, Derek ‘Fonzworth’ Bentley/Chevrolet, and the Calm app.

Most recently, TEEJ was contracted by Disney General Entertainment as a coordinator in photo production, making sure that all unit photography moved down the production pipeline, while focusing on broadening the internal rosters and advocating for diversity to include more photographers of color.
